[ZOOEY]

It may seem like a lot to read, but we ask you read all of the rules before posting anywhere on the site We aren't too picky as long as you're a good member.

the basics;;

01. We would like for this site to be active. We know that you can't get on every single day, but staying relatively active a few times a week isn't hard. Post in the EXCUSED ABSENCES board if you plan on being gone for any amount of time.

02. You can have as many characters as you want as long as you keep them all active. This means creating a new account for each new character. Also: for every two girl characters that you create, you must have also have at least one boy, and vise versa. It does not matter if you are better at roleplaying one gender or not, we encourage practice anyway.

03. Be respectful to ALL members. Staff, too. Staff has the power to ban or suspend anyone if there are any problems anywhere.

04. We are always open to staff positions here at Darwin. We ask that you only have experience with Proboards and have been active in roleplaying for one week before coming to ZOOEY and asking for a staff position. ZOOEY is the only staff member you can ask for a staff position.

in character rules;;

01. No godmoding. Do not Mary-Sue or Gary-Sue. We like drama unfolding without our characters necessarily knowing.

02. This is a PG-13 rated site. Drugs, sexual situations, the whole kit and kaboodle are involved. We ask that there are no actual sex scenes, though, unless a warning is specified in the thread title.

03. Absolutely no one liners. We aren't asking you to post a book, just a good paragraph or two worth reading. We understand that everyone gets writer's block.

04. One character per account. Make sure you are on the correct account before posting as well.

05. No chatspeak unless using the CELL PHONES or DARWIN SOCIAL NETWORKING boards.

06. We highly encourage proper grammar and spelling. We aren't going to badger you as long as you know your stuff.

07. Posts should always be in third person and past tense. Exept when your character is talking.

08. Don't have crazy font colors in your posts. It's okay for character plotting, of course, but people might not want to read the posts if they are all a zillion different colors and sizes. Please only use the size one, it looks a lot cleaner and neater.

signatures and avatars;;

01. Both signatures and avatars are needed. It helps other members know who they are "roleplaying" with, so to speak. If any of the graphics exceed the forum size, please fix that before an admin does.

02. Avatars should not be bigger nor smaller then 100x100

03. Absolutely no nudity.

c-box;;

01. No spamming in the c-box.

02. No advertising in the c-box. This also means no posting a url to your name, as well.

03. Do not fight with or curse to other members in the c-box. We want the c-box to be a fun place, and we don't want to have to get rid of it.
